Incheon Film Commission (IFC) was founded to promote the culture of Incheon through its movie industry. Since its establishment in 2006 as a department of Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture, IFC has consistently supported the production of films in various locations in the district of Incheon. Some of these featured locations are the modern Incheon International Airport, Songdo International City, Incheon Port, and neighboring old market. In order to fulfill its mandate, IFC has sponsored many film-related events.
In 2013, IFC was inaugurated as an independent nonprofit corporation so as to perform more active roles in the development of the local film industry and culture. Since then, it has exerted multilateral efforts to achieve its objectives.
In an effort to encourage local and international movie production in Incheon, IFC carries out various measures such as building efficient support system, undertaking research, and providing incentives. Other important activities implemented by IFC include hosting film festivals, promoting local film makers, and establishing international networks. We hope that these activities will let the Incheon citizens and other visitors of the city to experience and enjoy Incheon’s dynamic film culture.
We look forward to your continued interest and support so that Incheon Film Commission will be able to perform its role in this city of vibrant culture.
